I am suddenly interested in cooking. Mainly so that I know what I am putting into my body. Yesterday, I decided to make muffins, after attempting to make kale rice. The rice was overcooked. But I still had the best kale rice ever!
Then I forgot to add the syrups to the muffin mixture and completely forgot about the barley flour. Syrups were added as the last step as opposed to the first and the barley flour never made it. I wondered why there was only enough mixture for 11 muffins. Anyway, the muffins came out rock hard, but they look amazing and taste great!
There is something very satisfying about eating food you make for yourself – whether or not you follow a recipe. Is there a life lesson in there somewhere?
